Our Team
Beth Gatchell, Founder
Beth’s journey with yoga began nearly two decades ago, when she discovered how the practice could bring peace, resilience, and self-kindness during life’s challenges.
After completing her 500-hour teacher training, she began teaching yin and healing flow, as well as sharing yoga through outreach programs close to her heart.
Today, as the owner and founder, Beth can still be found on her mat leading practices with our community. Her focus is on nurturing the creation of a wellness hub where everyone in Redmond can feel supported, connected, and at home within our Collective.
Meet the team
Ann Marie Ulum
Yoga Instructor
My yoga journey began when I quit the "gym" mentality and found a practice. After teaching public school, finding my mat was the restoration I needed.
Yoga helps me tend to my emotions, my mental balance and my physical release. I've been teaching yoga for 6 years and practicing for 8.
Our yoga class together is a place of inclusion, exploration with effort and ease, and union.
I love chai tea, dogs, nature, family, and helping others. Come join me doing yoga!!!
Lisa Wormley
Yoga Instructor
My journey with yoga began in 2009 with the intention to generate more body awareness, specifically working through injuries. I continue to be amazed by the depth and connection that the practice offers in both the mind and the body. Having lived in different parts of the world, I've had the opportunity to engage with yoga through a variety of cultural lenses.
The 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program guided my teaching approach with an awareness for the balance of effort and ease throughout a class. Whatever the reason is that brings people to their mats, my hope is to create an inclusive space for everyone to explore and and honor the practice in their own way.
Outside of yoga, I enjoy ski touring, riding horses, long bike rides, jumping into rivers, live music, fresh fruit and looking after my house plants!
Ann Boyd
Yoga Instructor
Ann is grateful to be a part of the Canyon Yoga Collective Community. She has practiced and studied yoga for many years and is ever curious about its transformative power. She has completed more than 300+ hours of Yoga Teacher Training and leads one of our most popular classes: Healing Flow with Powerbeats!
Ann directed, performed, and choreographed theatre and dance in Chicago for many years and taught movement and devising original theatre at Columbia College Chicago before moving to Bend to be close to family.
She brings a focus on alignment, presence and a joyful enthusiasm to her teaching.
Rebecca Vallie
Yoga Instructor
Rebecca began her study of Yoga in the early 80’s as a student, Yoga was always her go-to when she felt she needed to feel grounded again. Rebecca taught fitness classes for more than 30 years, in Los Angeles, Hawaii and Central Oregon. She took a hiatus from teaching for about 10 years to focus on raising her family and building a business. During that time, she became a student of yoga, immersing herself to deepen her own personal practice, (little did she know the universe had plans for her).
In 2018, Rebecca wanted to resume teaching, and knowing the importance of health and wellness, (this time around), she wanted to do something with less impact on her joints, something more calm, and good for the soul, so she pursued the path of Yoga and became a Certified Yoga Instructor. Yoga was something she always LOVED and kept close to her heart; she was captured by the unspoken meditative beauty of yoga. By expanding her experience and knowledge of this beautiful practice, she says it will be a lifelong journey, continuing to learn and influence.
When Rebecca is not at the studio teaching and practicing, you will find her running her Property Management/Real Estate Company, and spending time with her amazing family, mom, daughter, grandchildren and her partner Farrell, walking the trails, cycling, going to Dukes rodeos, Marley’s dance recitals, taking trips and enjoying all that Central Oregon has to offer. You will always hear Rebecca say, “Yoga is not only for you, but it's for those that are around you.” NAMASTE.
Julia Curtis
Yoga Instructor
Hi my name is Julia, I am a mother, wife, student and Yogi. I graduated from my adults and children’s yoga teacher training in 2023. I enjoy being outside in my garden, camping, and learning about the human body.
I teach and practice many different formats of yoga. I like to incorporate lymphatic work and core work into my classes, as a healthy lymphatic system is a happy immune system and a strong core supports good posture and pain free joints.
Take my classes at your own pace and listen to your intuition! Drink water, do yoga, get good rest.
